Batshaw Foundation Scholarship
Education is a direct means to breaking the cycle of poverty. Providing current and former Batshaw youth with the opportunity to receive post-secondary education or job skills training, allows them to continue their journey of perseverance and realize their potential. The Batshaw Foundation provides over 70 scholarships to youth aged 16-25 each year. The scholarship is for students who are receiving or have received services from Batshaw Youth & Family Centres and are age 25 years or less when starting their program. Scholarships are available during the Fall, Winter, and Summer semesters.
Children鈥檚 Aid Foundation of Canada
The Children鈥檚 Aid Foundation of Canada offers a variety of educational supports to youth from care to help you make your educational dreams a reality, including the Foundation Scholarship and the Ted Rogers Scholarship Fund.
Leonard Foundation
Financial assistance for students who can demonstrate financial need, work during their free time, and participate regularly in athletic, fitness or military activities.
Nora’s Nursery Scholarship
This scholarship is for parents that are looking to further their education. Raising families can be very costly and Nora’s Nursery wants to help reduce the financial burden school can be to parents to help eliminate barriers to education. Whether it is a student currently enrolled or a parent looking to go back to school this scholarship is open for them to apply.
Storwell’s Foster Children Bursary Program
Storwell offers an annual bursary to support foster children as they pursue their post-secondary education and to help them as they progress into a new and exciting stage of their lives. Applicants must have been a foster child with an official Canadian or American foster care program, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, be enrolled as a full-time student, and be 24 years of age or less at the time of application.
