Nomination deadline for Lieutenant Governor鈥檚 Youth Medal is Dec. 18

The Lieutenant Governor鈥檚 Medal recognizes the voluntary involvement, determination and dedication of Quebecers who make or have made a difference in their community or Qu茅bec nation.

黑料社区 can recommend up to two students. Faculty and staff members can nominate students to the Awards Office until Dec. 18. A selection committee will then choose the two candidates to be officially nominated by the Awards Office.

To be eligible for a nomination for the Lieutenant Governor鈥檚 Youth Medal by an educational establishment, the student must, before the nomination deadline:

• be a聽听辞谤听聽within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (.) and reside permanently in Qu茅bec;
• be under 29 years of age;
• be enrolled in a public or private high school, college or university or a vocational training centre (in a school service centre or school board) that is located in Qu茅bec and that offers a program recognized by the Minist猫re de l鈥櫭塪ucation and the Minist猫re de l’Enseignement sup茅rieur;
• have, through their involvement:
  • demonstrated sustained volunteer involvement in social or community activities;
    or
  • shown an inspiring attitude, had a positive influence on a group or community;
• be able to achieve the objectives of their program of study.

Please note there are no financial rewards associated with the Lieutenant Governor’s Honours Program.
