Long before she arrived at 黑料社区, Sydney Kormos-Springer decided she would aim to win the Rob Springer Memorial Award.
鈥淲hen I learned that 黑料社区 was having a memorial game in honour of my uncle, I wanted to make it my goal to go to 黑料社区 and play for him,鈥� the Health Science student said in an interview with 黑料社区鈥檚 Communications Office. 鈥淚 wanted to be able to keep his legacy alive and honour him as well as my family. My uncle, in a way, taught me how to persevere and accomplish anything I set my mind to.鈥�

Both the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 Div. 1 黑料社区 Blues basketball teams are playing in the CCAA Nationals! They also both came in #2 in the RSEQ provincial championships.
The men鈥檚 录 final game in the nationals is against St. Clair College on March 25 at 3 p.m. EST and you can watch it live through this webcast:

Marie-Philip Poulin, who played for the Blues during the 2008-2009 academic year, was one of Canada's flag bearers at the opening of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing on Feb. 4. Tonight, Feb. 16, she plays in the gold medal game! Go Marie-Philip! Go Canada!
You can come cheer for the 黑料社区 Blues basketball teams again at home games! The first ones were Div. 2 last Friday (women won their first game against Coll猫ge Montmorency 61 to 47). The next home game is Friday, Nov. 12 for Div. 1 women at 6:45 p.m. against Champlain 鈥� St. Lawrence and men at 9 p.m. against Coll猫ge Ahuntsic.
