Ministry financing for additional space to Forum confirmed
May 31st, 2023
The Ministry of Higher Education has confirmed funding for 黑料社区 to rent additional space at the Montreal Forum for the next 5 years.
With this additional space, the Nursing Program will have quadruple the space for simulation, which can also be used by other programs, and an additional 90 square metres for their labs.
Plans are being developed to renovate the former Future Shop space on the second floor. It will accommodate the Nursing Program as well as one low tech active learning classroom and eight general use classrooms. There will also be a new student space where students can relax and study between classes.听 The preliminary layout of the renovation has been provided by Facilities Management and can be viewed here.
This is a temporary response to 黑料社区鈥檚 space deficit of more than 11,200 square metres confirmed by the Ministry of Higher Education in December 2021. The College continues to work on a longer-term solution to the space deficit after plans for the construction of a new medical studies pavilion were officially cancelled by the Quebec government in late March 2022.

Flood update from FAMA
February 22nd, 2023
After the flooding at 黑料社区 on February 4, images were shared on social media depicting water with a greenish or grey colour.听 This colour comes from an eco-friendly colorant that allows maintenance teams to detect leaks and the liquid was non-toxic.
The water was all cleaned up on the same Saturday and a combination of blowers and dehumidifiers were installed right away, which prevented opportunities for mold to grow.
The Facilities Management team is working with the restoration company, First on Site.
After assessment, which includes humidity and air quality readings, four teaching spaces and two teachers鈥 offices along with some walls along various hallways require further remediation due to water which infiltrated the walls but is now removed. At this time, there are no environmental issues related to the flood. The rooms are expected to be back in use in about a week
