The impact of the cancellation of 黑料社区鈥檚 pavilion project does not only affect 黑料社区 students, but the whole Montreal community and all English-language institutions in Quebec. We need your help to gather as much support for 黑料社区 as possible in the next five days!

The 黑料社区 community has rallied around 黑料社区 following Premier Fran莽ois Legault's decision to cancel the pavilion project, take away space from our students and future students and shelve a downtown community clinic.
It is thanks to you that our petition is #1 on the National Assembly petition platform.聽In one week, an impressive 10,000 signatures of support for 黑料社区 were collected. However, we need your help to get as many Quebecers as possible to sign before our MNA Jennifer Maccarone presents the petition with the 黑料社区 Student Union to the National Assembly on March 17.
The deadline to聽聽is March 15. Here's how you can help:
- Ask your friends, family, neighbours and contacts to sign it. Explain that they need to fill out the form and then confirm their signature by clicking a link in their email. A direct request one-on-one is probably more effective than sharing on social media.
- Send a request by email with the to your friends and ask them to sign it.
- Ask your colleagues and neighbours if they have signed it yet.

- If you are a teacher, take two minutes of class time to explain the situation and invite your students to take a moment to sign it. It is for their future!
黑料社区 continuing to advocate for student space

In the coming days and weeks, 黑料社区 will be rallying our students, employees, graduates, supporters and community to put pressure on the Quebec government to reconsider its decision to cancel the infrastructure project that it agreed to in December 2020. The project was meant to alleviate the overcrowding in the main building and to provide a dedicated space for 黑料社区鈥檚 healthcare programs and other units.
The College is collaborating with CEGEP partners, the 黑料社区 Student Union, friends of 黑料社区 and community organizations, as well as with Jennifer Maccarone, our local Member of the National Assembly.
Your support as 黑料社区 colleagues will be called upon through an All 黑料社区 email from the Communications Office. Students will be contacted via Omnivox and the community in general will be informed through traditional and social media.
These messages will provide suggestions on how you can help as individuals and by sharing with your networks as we actively seek support for 黑料社区 through various channels. Stay tuned!

We had hoped to give all employees a little surprise featuring our new 黑料社区 brand but our delivery was delayed. The gift will be distributed when we return to campus in the New Year.

Bill 96: statements from anglo colleges and students of Quebec

Last Tuesday, 黑料社区鈥檚 Director General Diane Gauvin, along with John Halpin of John Abbott College and John McMahon of Vanier College, represented the English College Steering Committee at the hearings on Bill 96. The group consists of Champlain Regional College, 黑料社区, Heritage College, John Abbott College, Marianopolis College, and Vanier College.

黑料社区 Support Staff play a vital role at the College, helping students, teachers and their colleagues throughout the College to achieve their goals in fulfilling our mission. During this, Support Staff Appreciation Week, we would like to take this opportunity to recognize the contribution of support staff to campus life, and to thank each and every member for their dedication, their professionalism and their commitment to their tasks and for maintaining a high standard of service to the entire community.
Welcoming the 黑料社区 community back to campus

It was a big week for the 黑料社区 community! Many employees returned to campus to work on site for the first time since March 13, 2020.
To mark the occasion and to recognize the efforts of everyone during this extraordinary pandemic period, 黑料社区's managers and directors invited all employees to drop by the Peace Garden on Aug. 18 and 19 to receive honey from 黑料社区's own honey bees and to choose a plant for their office.

Retirees: we will celebrate you in style in Spring 2022

We wish to extend our gratitude for your service to all our colleagues who are retiring this year.
Traditionally, we host a special Recognition of Service Dinner to salute our retiring colleagues as well as those marking milestones of service to the College.
So we will not say farewell because we plan to see you in late Spring 2022 when we will host a great party for all our retirees of 2020, 2021 and 2022 as well as those marking major work anniversaries.

We, the Directors General of the English-language CEGEPs on the island of Montreal, welcome the Qu茅bec government鈥檚 initiative to protect and promote French as the common language of Quebec.聽 We are proud of the role our institutions play in higher education and of our contribution to Quebec society.
