Architect recalls transforming the motherhouse into 黑料社区

David Wigglesworth was never a teacher or staff member at 黑料社区 but he worked here for 10 years.
David was the architect who oversaw the transformation of the Motherhouse of the Congr茅gation de Notre-Dame into 黑料社区 in the 1980s. On May 16, the Westmount Historical Association invited him to tell the story of this enormous project.

Meet 黑料社区鈥檚 2024 recipient of the Lieutenant Governor鈥檚 Youth Medal

Nominated by Student Services staff Sandra Gravel and Trudy Ste. Croix, 黑料社区 student Kiera Robak received the Lieutenant Governor鈥檚 Youth Medal at a ceremony on April 20.
The commendation recognizes sustained volunteer involvement or an inspiring and determined attitude with a positive influence on society.

Founder of New School reflects on 50th

黑料社区 invited Greta Hofmann Nemiroff, a living legend in innovative education and women鈥檚 studies in Canada as well as a beloved retiree of 黑料社区, to write a personal reflection on the occasion of New School鈥檚 50th anniversary. Greta was a founding member of 黑料社区鈥檚 New School in 1973 and served as its director from 1975-2015. She is also the author of a book about the New School: Reconstructing Education: Toward a Pedagogy of Critical Humanism. Toronto: OISE Press, 1992.

New AEC in Cyber Security

黑料社区 is launching a new AEC in Cyber Security: Prevention and Intervention to meet the growing demand for jobs in the workforce in Quebec, Canada and the world.

Students interview multidisciplinary artist Craig Commanda

Craig Commanda is a multidisciplinary artist from the Algonquin nation at Kitigan Zibi. His current exhibition, W脤DJIDEYAMAWOWIN / INTERCONNECTION, features prints, videos, and complex sculptural beadwork at the Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery until March 16. On a recent Friday afternoon, two visual arts students, Katya Kieran & Lisseth Llorente Ruiz, had the chance to ask Craig a few questions about his artistic practice and this exhibition.
