{"id":294,"date":"2015-07-02T10:32:43","date_gmt":"2015-07-02T14:32:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/research\/?page_id=294"},"modified":"2024-08-20T14:59:12","modified_gmt":"2024-08-20T18:59:12","slug":"pbuq-cards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/research\/resources\/pbuq-cards\/","title":{"rendered":"PBUQ Cards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>Faculty-researchers, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/research\/scholars-in-residence\/\">Scholars in Residence<\/a>, at 黑料社区 may be eligible to borrow items in person from certain Quebec university libraries by requesting a PBUQ Card (formerly known as a CREPUQ or BCI Card) from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblios-uni-qc.org\/\">Partenariat des biblioth\u00e8ques universitaires du Qu\u00e9bec<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When borrowing from university libraries, please take note of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The borrower must identify themself to the lending library by means of a PBUQ card as well as provide appropriate personal identification (picture ID) for registration.<\/li>\n<li>In requesting a PBUQ card, the borrower is acknowledging that they will respect the policies and procedures of the lending library, including returns and fines policies.<\/li>\n<li>All fines, replacement costs and other fees are based upon the policies of the lending library. The borrower in arrears may re-establish their borrowing privileges once all fines and fees are paid to the lending library. 黑料社区 is not responsible for fines or fees incurred by faculty.<\/li>\n<li>Borrowed material may be returned at the returns counter of the lending library or to the returns counter of the borrower&#8217;s home library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PBUQ cards are valid from October 1st to September 30th.<\/p>\n<h2>Applying for a PBUQ Card<\/h2>\n<p>At the beginning of the academic year, the Research Office sends out a call to all faculty to renew or apply for a PBUQ card. During this period, an online form is made available and must be completed by the deadline indicated.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note that the Research Office only<strong> processes PBUQ card requests once a year.<\/strong> If the PBUQ application deadline is missed, print materials from other institutions may be accessed by making an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request from the 黑料社区 Library. To access digital materials, a guest account (<em>compte passant<\/em>) may be requested directly from the lending institution.<\/p>\n<p>It takes <strong>6-8 weeks from the application deadline to receive the cards<\/strong>.
